What is biltong?
Biltong is air dried beef, although biltong can be made from a wide variety of meats, including Ostrich, Kudu, Springbok and Eland. We make our award-winning biltong using beef silverside. Our methods remain unchanged for over 50-years using a recipe handed down from Willem Van Der Ploeg, Simon’s childhood best friends Father who lived in the Namibian Desert in South West Africa
Our biltong is prepared in our state-of-the-art facility, the largest in the UK and Europe, situated in the beautiful Southdowns on the Woodhorn Organic Farm in Oving, just outside Chichester in West Sussex. We will only ever use the very best ingredients available before slowly drying our biltong for six days. Just quality biltong every time, no compromise, ever !
